Meet Romy Samuel, Sneaker Enthusiast, Mother of Two, Co-founder of Common Ace
Where are you from? Rasied in Melbourne, Australia. Home is currently LA!
What are you inspired by? Art, the cosmos, innovators, our miraculous biosphere and my kids.
What is your go to sneaker? Nike Zoom Vomeros in any colorway!
How did you come up with the name Common Ace? ‘Common Ace’ is literally derived from my son’s name, Ace. Ace also happens to be a slang word for ‘cool’ we all say in Australia!
What’s your favorite book? Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza. Life changing stuff!!
What’s a must have clothing item everyone must own? Hands down an oversized expensive black bomber jacket! Will never date and will last forever!
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? I’m obsessed with quantum physics and cats.
How has your hometown influenced your style? Ahhh Melbourne! A cold, urban, colorful and creative, lushly nature filled diverse city at the bottom of the planet! We roamed the streets in the 90s, wore grungy streetwear (flannels and cons), listened to punk rock and it was all very low key cool. We were ravers, clubbers, skaters and artists and we only wanted to wear kicks. What else would we wear?!
What does Common Ace mean to you? A home and a dream come true for all the sneaker loving ladies of the world!
