Where are you from?
I am from the Westside of Chicago
How would you describe your style?
I'm like the laid-back girl next door. She's super cool, might give you a recommendation on some new music or tell you the store where she found her shoes.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
One thing that people don’t know about me is that I’m musically inclined! I started playing piano in the fourth grade and continued throughout high school and college. I was a vocal music major and studied piano and musical theatre (shout out to Merit School of Music). I initially started working in the music business with my blog Vita 10|17, that’s a throwback. What’s your go-to sneaker?
My go-to sneaker lately has been the Nike Undercover Daybreak in the ‘Blue Jay’ colorway. I will grab these on any given day to run errands or just style with something I’m wearing. They are really really comfortable and probably some of my most worn shoes ever. I always keep them within reach meaning outside of their box.
What Jordan silhouette is your favorite?
The Air Jordan 7 is my favorite silhouette and it’s probably because it holds so much sentimental value to me. Back in the early 2000’s, I found a sneaker plug where I was able to grab shoes early. The ‘Cardinal’ 7’s were the first pair of sneakers I got early and for sure I got a fit off back in high school with a Jordan sweatsuit I copped from Lady Footlocker. I hope they bring these back, I need a pair!
What’s one sneaker that is on your wish-list right now?
A sneaker on my wishlist is the Off-White Chicago 1. The resell price on those are crazy in my size but I would love to have a pair of those one day in my collection. I vividly remember taking L’s all around the board when Virgil’s “The Ten” dropped which inspired my weekly blog post “The Ten” where I pick ten new releases of the week.

What’s your idea of a perfect sneaker?
My idea of the perfect sneaker is something that can go from day-to-night and be worn in multiple environments. I love something that is effortless and versatile.
What are you inspired by?
I am constantly inspired by my peers. Some of my peers are doing some amazing things in their fields from starting fashion brands to candle companies, learning the stock market and investing in their communities. The way they move keeps me going, we motivate each other. We give each other gems and that much needed push when you’re not feeling like you’re doing enough.
Who is your style icon?
Wow, one day I would love to just play in June Ambrose's closest. Our styles are nothing alike however I love how she plays with pattern and color. She's vibrant and just out there putting it all on and it inspires me to step out of the box and not overthink it just go with the flow.
If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
The advice for my younger self would be to go for it. You don’t have to wait on anyone to create the life you want to live. You have enough tools to get it done. You can follow the road less traveled and still be successful. Just believe in yourself, you’ll be fine.
